Compliance & Audit Readiness

From “where do we start?” to audit‑ready.

A customer’s asking for SOC 2. An audit’s on the calendar. A framework you’ve never heard of is suddenly your problem. We turn that pile of requirements into a clear plan — and walk you all the way to passing.

Frameworks we support

Not sure which one you need? Start here.

The right framework depends on your industry and who you sell to. Here’s the short version — and if you’re still unsure, we’ll help you figure it out before you spend a dollar chasing the wrong one.

SOC 2
SaaS & B2B vendors

The one your enterprise customers keep asking for. Proves you handle their data responsibly across security, availability, and confidentiality.

HIPAA
Healthcare & vendors

Required if you create, store, or touch protected health information — whether you’re a provider or a vendor serving one.

PCI DSS
Anyone taking card payments

Mandatory for any business that stores, processes, or transmits credit card data. Non‑compliance gets expensive fast.

NIST CSF
Broad best-practice baseline

A flexible, widely respected framework for building a strong security program — often the foundation other requirements build on.

ISO 27001
Global & enterprise deals

The international standard for information security management. Often expected when you sell into global or enterprise markets.

CMMC
Defense contractors

Required to win and keep U.S. Department of Defense contracts. If you’re in the defense supply chain, this one isn’t optional.

How we get you there

A clear path from gap to green

Compliance feels overwhelming because nobody hands you the map. We do — and then we walk it with you, step by step.

01

Gap assessment

We measure where you stand today against the framework you need — so you know exactly what’s already covered and what’s missing, with no surprises later.

02

Roadmap & prioritization

You get a plain‑English plan that sequences the work by effort and impact — what to fix first, what can wait, and a realistic timeline to audit‑ready.

03

Remediation & controls

We help you implement the technical controls and close the gaps — MFA, encryption, logging, access reviews, and the rest — and tie each one back to a requirement.

04

Policies & evidence

Auditors want proof, not promises. We build the policies, procedures, and evidence trail that show your controls actually exist and work.

05

Audit support

We prep you for the assessment and stand beside you through it — translating auditor questions and making sure nothing derails the finish line.

06

Stay compliant Ongoing

Compliance isn’t one‑and‑done. We help you maintain controls year‑round so the next audit is painless — and your security doesn’t decay between them.

Straight talk

We get you ready. Your auditor certifies you.

Here’s an honest thing a lot of firms gloss over: certifications like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 have to be issued by an independent auditor — and that auditor can’t be the same firm that built your controls. That independence is the entire point of the audit.

So StrikeProof does the readiness work — gap assessment, remediation, policies, evidence — and then works alongside your auditor, not in place of them. You walk in prepared, and the certification actually means something when you get it.

What you get

Everything the audit will ask for

Not a checklist you’re left to figure out alone — the actual documents, controls, and evidence a successful audit requires.

Gap assessment report

A clear picture of where you stand against your framework, with every gap identified and prioritized.

Prioritized roadmap

A sequenced plan to audit‑ready — what to do, in what order, and roughly how long it takes.

Policies & procedures

The written documentation auditors require — tailored to how your business actually operates, not generic templates.

Control & evidence mapping

Each requirement tied to a control and the evidence that proves it — so the audit is a formality, not a scramble.

Why StrikeProof

Compliance that makes you safer, not just paperwork

Plenty of firms treat compliance as a box‑checking exercise. We’re a security company first — so the controls we put in place actually protect you, not just satisfy an auditor.

  • Security first, checkbox second. Real controls that make you harder to breach — that happen to pass the audit too.
  • Plain English, always. We translate the framework into things your team can actually do.
  • One team for everything. The firm testing and monitoring you can also get you compliant — no juggling vendors.
  • We stay after the audit. Ongoing support so compliance sticks and renewals aren’t a fire drill.

Compliance FAQ

Common questions

Do you issue the SOC 2 report or certify us directly?
No — and that’s by design. Certifications like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 must be issued by an independent auditor or certifying body, which can’t also be the firm that built your controls. StrikeProof gets you fully audit‑ready and works alongside your auditor, but the independence of the audit is what makes it worth anything.
How long does it take to become compliant?
It depends on the framework and your starting point. A focused gap assessment takes a few weeks, while reaching audit‑ready can take anywhere from one to six months depending on how many gaps exist and, for frameworks like SOC 2 Type II, how long an observation period is required. We give you a realistic timeline up front.
Which compliance framework do we actually need?
That depends on your industry and who you sell to. Healthcare and their vendors need HIPAA. Anyone handling card payments needs PCI DSS. SaaS and B2B vendors are usually asked for SOC 2 by their customers. Defense contractors need CMMC. If you’re not sure, we help you figure out which framework applies before you spend a dollar chasing the wrong one.
We already have a security stack. Isn’t that compliance?
Tools help, but compliance is about proving your controls exist, work, and are documented. Auditors want evidence, policies, and records — not just software licenses. We connect what you already have to the specific requirements of your framework and fill the gaps in policy, process, and evidence.
What happens after we pass the audit?
Compliance isn’t one‑and‑done. Most frameworks require ongoing monitoring and annual renewal. We can help you maintain your controls year‑round so the next audit is far less painful than the first — and so your security doesn’t quietly decay between audits.

Stop dreading the audit. Start preparing for it.

Begin with a gap assessment — a clear, honest picture of where you stand and exactly what it takes to get compliant.
